September 13th; Hosting Dinner!

On Friday night of September 13th, I was able to host dinner for some of my exchange friends and I!

It was the first time I had been able to host a big group, and it was very exciting to have everyone over! I made pizza for us, (four large 12-inch) and there was no food left at the end of the night!

After that, we had ice cream for dessert, and hung out upstairs in my living room. It was good to see everyone, and we had some really good laughs. One of my friends from Argentina ended up spending the night, so once her and I walked everyone to the bus stop, we hung out a little longer with my host parents before heading to bed.

This was a super short post, but it's very nice to talk about the friends I've made here thus far!

(Also, a side note, a very Swedish way of cutting pizza is by using scissors. I cringe every time I do it, and I had to hide how I was cutting it from my two Italian exchange friends 😂 I'm not sure if my host family owns a pizza cutter or not, but while I'm here, a pair of scissors it is!)

New Swedish words & phrases I've learned:

  • Mera - More

  • Om - If

  • Annat - Other

  • Får - May

  • Utan - Without

  • Ingå - Included

  • Har - Have

  • Få - Get

  • Efter - After

  • Anges - Specified

Talk soon!

Älskar dig!
